The Salad Bar

Post by MoisturePup » Fri Dec 03, 2004 8:01 am

Well kids,

I was just appreciating how much this here Eplaya is like the real playa with the witty conversation, and the mayhem, and the diverse opinions; being able to jump from one camp (thread) to another...just realized that besides the dust, there was something missing....hey! Where's my
fucking romaine?!

SO - I take my needs into my own hands...

Welcome to the Eplaya Bar! Toss the salad. Moist is an experienced tosser (you heard me) and pretty darn hot to boot. Step right up, and grab a generic white plate and fill it high. The bar is fully stocked and lookee there! A hundred types of lettuce with every dressing you've ever wanted on chilled to perfection!

Act appropriately (as defined by you of course) and no leaving food on your plate!

What'll it be, baby?

Baby Greens--mixed non-peppery organic. Blue cheese (or goat cheese), persimmons, baby carrots, toasted walnuts, pears, red onions, craisens, and a light balsamic vinnagrette.

Greens? We don't need no stinking greens...

Probably why we need stinking laxatives...

let's see......organic baby greens, peppery included; hmm, some baby spinach for good measure; shredded beets and carrots for color; pumpkin seeds; a hard-boiled egg; drizzle with......what was that called? (the miso dressing always set out with the cucumber slices at whole foods on Pearl.....damn, forgot the name!) anyway, *that* dressing is my favorite (cannot find it or convince anyone to stock it here in butt-fuck, Arkansas).

Everybody in the universe knows that the the best invention of all time, the penultimate moment in which humanity reached it's adulthood, the moment in which humanity was freed of it's slavish bond to wet lettuce, is the ivention of the spinning lettuce crisper.

Look if the Mrfishist could line up a dozen of us and go down the line (following body substance isolation procedures, of course) he'd be one happy camper.

Um, I mean, browser at a salad bar.
