Ditto... For both of you...
Separation is difficult enough... sharing it with others is excruciating... hang in there both of you. Most of us have been through this shit and survived... It all works out in the end, although we may wind up with limps (and scars)... take heart, guys... you're not the first...

Re: The view from here
So find some wonderful friends of your own. Don't let yourself believe you need to be defined by your relationship(s). I lost someone who means more than life to me because I kept thinking of us as Us, and not just Me and Him.Kristines wrote:George: I'll say it here and maybe you can understand me; maybe some of your friends can help you hear me. That's my fondest wish. I want you to have wonderful friends. I think it's great you are embracing art projects and Burning Man. All that is true. But it is ALSO true that I am also incredibly insecure with myself and my relationship with you and I feel threatened when you are intimate with other people, especially when I don't feel intimate with you.
Yes, it sucks to not feel understood by the person you plan(ned) to spend your life with. But there's another five billion people on this planet - don't rule the rest of us out just because we're not your first choice. Please.

First snowman is melted in me tummy, kids are tucked away if not asleep yet; time for another, I believe! Perhaps a bit stronger this go around.
Still agonizing on the whole ticket thing. Twould be so much more sensible to just wait a wee bit, perhaps til when I'm getting paychecks again. But I would be in a much different state of mind, I believe, if I just did the deed.
Miss Elise, already gone to bed? {pout}

heli, you stretch it, I'll play it. See you in August.
Giggles, just get the ticket- since when was BM about sensible? You can always sell it later if it doesn't seem to be working out for you to go. Heck if I can buy a house next (again with the house!) and spend my poor Canadian dollars (although we've been doing pretty good lately) on two tickets and have to pay a whole extra $20!!!! to have them sent to this country, surely you can.
As Furnaceface says, just buy it!
Please, someone eat the rest of this amazing caramel filled milk chocolate bar. I can't eat another bite. I'll leave it on the bar, I'm off to dinner.

Sure, Thanks
Last year I went by myself and towed a 21 foot travel trailer with an older ford van, so gas ran me a bunch. I boarded 3 dogs at a kennel, while I was gone. and on the return trip I blew my transmission in Grand Island Nebraska. Oh and I had gotten new tires for the van and the trailer before the trip. With the extra stay in Nebraska and having the transition rebuilt and the extra boarding costs that ran nearly a thousand dollars I'm guessing it coast me around $3,500. But that’s just a guess because I really don't want to know.
