I had a friend who was an idiot savant idiot. If you dropped a box of toothpicks, he'd count them before they hit the floor. But he was always wrong.

There's no way he'd be able to get the time off from work.... I asked if he'd be willing to meet me up there mid-week, but he was blood-sugar crashing and getting irrational, so the rest of the discussion is on hold till he eats, and possibly sleeps.

I would think it would be hard to be joined mid-week after you've been immersed in the environment that long

The ex and I had friends meet us on-playa on Wednesday last year, one of whom was a Burn virgin; I agree it's suboptimal, but it's do-able. (Hell, when I hit the playa last year, the ex had already been in camp for a week....)
