so the neighbors would water the lawn more
I'm thinking that since neighbors is plural that "water their lawns more" sounds better. Maybe?

Not rhyming with him is a cop-out..because then it could be any name. Maybe if he were in the two-part rhyme. That would require abandoning the whole existing scheme. hmmmm...

Also revise it to "Then sunbathe outside" but i'm thinking of starting over with it.

Tell me something else about him, GE.

<rustles from the NEB>

If he's so weel enowed you could have him drage it across the floor... or something. But I kind of agree that Clonmore is a rough one to rhyme from.

Hmmm. And that's not a touchy subject? I might be able to use that. Anything else? where does he live? what does he do? I'm trying to find a crack that will open this one up.

it's well known by everyone, including his wife, who's off on holiday with another (younger) man.

He is pompous. He's got chicken legs. His sister is a gypsy, and a disgrace to the family. He has a hanky tucked up his sleeve. He gets really whiny when he's angry. he cries when anyone sings "danny boy". he has an illigitimate son, named Liam the Loose. (takes after his father),

anything?

Those are all excellent tidbits. Let me brood.

And I'm getting the impression we're dealing with what is at least partially a fictional character? I'll try to make it funny.
“We cross our bridges when we come to them and burn them behind us, with nothing to show for our progress except a memory of the smell of smoke, and a presumption that once our eyes watered.”

Anyone got any appropriate rhymes? toss 'em out, let's see if we can use them.

All of my ideas are starting to become insulting ones. Is that what you wanted here?

Not for long. I've got a couple of leads here, but I still don't know if I'm suppsoed to be insulting him or not.

And is this "lord" clonmore we're talking about? That fits meter beautifully.
