Accordian Festival?
(Sneaks peek around the place, to make sure Heli isn't in a corner somewhere!)
My brother lives in Rohnert Park and we go every year. Usually both days. Usually go bar-hopping between sets. Wikkid fun!! My Best friend and housemate is an accordianista, was trying to get her out to the playa but (dig this) she doesn't have a playa-proof accordian... If I can ever get hold of him, wanna talk to our local accordian guy about building one. (Maybe a dust valve in the bellows, and corrosion-proof reeds??)
Back to men and related foibles >giggles<...
One of the few good things about us was we were both kinda impulsive - if we wanted to go out and shoot Hiway 49 for a week, for example, or play tourist in tThe City over a weekend, we just went and did it. Unfortunately it wasn't enough to make up for all the stuff that ate up what we had (which wasn't much as I realied later)... Also... I tended to be more outgoing and, well, wild and crazy in my intrests, and my ex was, well... my ex- worked for a cop shop and anything that didn't fit within "socially acceptable normal guidelines" was out out out... I think that was where I realized you just can't change people. Things like going to BRC or to a Dead show or whatnot was considered *tabboo*... it was always "what if someone sees us?". I can't live like that... life's too short.

That was why I got out of doing RenFaire... it started out fun, and got to be a bummer. I actually started thinking of it as a job and obligation (and not a very fun one) and realized, Jeez, Sus, what are you doing this for?? Did it 6 years, and the last 2 ended up miserable. Like I said earlier, Life's too short!!

Sounds tasty... might just have to try one inna bit. We used to do this punch stuff called "Gumbah" that had various alcohols (vodka, 151, everclear, some other bouboun, and some kinda fruit schnapps) and wines combined with Rainbow Sherbet and (if I remember) 7-up... the secret was it had to sit out at room temp for 4 days before it was drinkable (something about secondary and tertiary fermentation) and served from a (clean) wastepaper basket - it was *guaranteed* to plant people on their butts. I've been thinking of making up a batch on the playa, just because...
