Maybe we'll bump into each other on the playa and start a battle for "air superiority".

How diabolical! We had one last year, but unfortunately Mother Nature conspired against us in actually deploying it on the Playa. May your fortune be better.Mister Jellyfish Mister wrote:I know, just what you need, another project to build before Burning Man. This one is coming together pretty quickly here my garage. You may consider filling it w/ smoke from a smoke generator first, we could get visible smoke rings this way. Also, there are UV reactive smoke fluids, and with a UV spotlight, the rings glow at night as they roll by...
LOL, Goth. If we can get the thing to lock and load fast enough, we could play volleyball with the pants and they would never hit the ground. "Keep away from the naked boy... ha ha!"Gothalot wrote:who needs a canon to remove pants, thats what tequilla is for.
Was it you that told me there is a chemical additive for smoke machines for UV? We could have black lights mounted and send out huge purple smoke rings!robotland wrote:O Brave New World, that has such Widgets in it! Say the word, and I'll make a space allotment for gun turret on the Snowman if you'd like to try an aerial bombardment.
Do you mean there are UV lights that charge up in the day like a solar malibu landscaping light? That's perfect! Is there such a thing as black light LED's?robotland wrote:I think it was Dragonfly Jafe that suggested the UV rings-juice...I'll have a couple of specially-hacked UV solar lights (thanks, Sparky!!) and would investigate more UV toys for such a noble purpose as this.
How heavy is the cannon, and how much room does it need to operate?
Actually, they ARE Malibu lights....They were "upgraded" by my friend and Hushville neighbor Sparks, who gave them to me last year. They're nothing to see in daylight, but in the absense of other light are fairly effective. not sure where Sparky got the diodes, but they're available online and at some autoparts places....Mister Jellyfish Mister wrote:Do you mean there are UV lights that charge up in the day like a solar malibu landscaping light? You can buy the fog thingys at garden stores- twenty bucks or so. Now: LOOK AT THESE:Mister Jellyfish Mister wrote:Egad! Checked for battery operated fog machines and the only thing I can find are the albeit cool ass theatrical models for over $1000. Since playa dust till be everywhere, especially close to the ground, I may experiment with water mist although it is often too heavy to travel with the air ring as it passes through the atmosphere. You know those little ponds you see in gift shops with the ozone generatory thingy in them?
