RobbiDobbs snaps out of her daze.

Hi Kitty, LmNtal, Cowboy,

She scritches Kitty's neck.

She coyly invites JediDale to the Dusty Couch, and they immediately get involved in conversation about NLP.
I'll be in my blanket fort until further notice.

Hello M!

It's a lovely day here and looks like the playa is still having great weather. Are you ready yet? When do you leave?

Good Morning, Sputnik!
I haven't stepped outside yet but we've been having some cool weather. Which is nice....but I wish it would wait longer.
I haven't quite finished my dome cover, plan to finish today though. A few more hours of sewing and tweaking and then it comes down and gets loaded in the truck. I had planned to leave thursday morning, but it looks more like I'll be leaving later in the afternoon thursday. I'm going to drive to Mpls and stay over night at my Dad's and then leave bright and early friday.

All roads lead to I-80 it seems. Our crew is on I-80 right now. I'm guessing somewhere in Nebraska. They've been on the road for a bit more than 17 hours, so they're almost halfway there. Not sure if they'll make it non-stop since they only have two people per vehicle. I hope they make sure they rest along the way.

You know, I've been wondering if there were any tollbooths along I-80?

I believe that I-80 is a freeway it's entire length and not a toll road.

As to the coffee, well that depends on what you like and what you can get. Some folks are good with store brand coffee and others need something special. I've found that I can't stomach home brew drip coffee much anymore and tend to buy whole bean french roast and then use my french press for it. Much stronger and more to my liking (I think crypto will agree).

I-80 has tolls East of Chicago, heading West there are none until you reach the Bay Bridge. If you are coming out of the Bay Area you have a toll at the North end of the Carquinez bridge. And of course there's the Agriculture inspection station that California has that makes you stop but there's no toll even though it looks like a toll gate.

Ok, thanks...on both questions.
I need to get up to my sewing buddy's house early today to get that cover done. The billboard vinyl we are using stays pretty flexible in the sun, but as soon as it starts cooling off it's almost impossible to sew.

Thanks, Sputnik. I'll probably be on here for a while tonight unless I'm too sewing fried.

I have a rental truck so I can pull my small trailer out there...my car is still in the body shop being fixed. And of all things I get to replace the windshield on the rental truck now...it got cracked yesterday. It's one thing after another...I leave for the playa Saturday afternoon and I'll be so happy to get out of this dang place!

That's a yes on the french press and a no on the french roast (too oily). Viennesse and Italian blends okay. Guatamalas Sumatras Ethiopians. I do it by geography of growing. And fair trade, shade grown, organic--try to make sure it's at least on of those.

But I'm from Berkeley, where Mr. Star and Mr Buck learnt what they know about coffee...

I just got word from the caravan that they just passed the Arch of Nebraska in Kearney. Almost halfway home.

ETA: At this rate they should arrive around 4pm or so tomorrow afternoon.

I have a headache, I'm hungry, I have to pee. I'm stuck at my desk answering phones that don't ring.

Give me a drink that will fix all that!

Try my Hypnotic Induction Enhancer Drink!

Post by JediDale » Wed Aug 24, 2005 12:03 pm

[/i]Jedi Dale enters swiftly and unnoticingly sweeps the room for Sith. Noticing none he approaches the bartender and slips him the extremely secret recipe for the Hypnotic Induction Enhancer Drink. Jedi Dale goes on to tell the bartender that even though its Non-Alcoholic,
its effects are much, MUCH, more pleasurable and give no hangover!!
