Jeezzz, Heli... that sounds like the Bay Bridge. We used to give away everything (to the anger of us who work here) - shut it down, get stepped on, hand s**t off the bridge, trash all over, escort duty for nothing, you name it. Finally ended when they were filming "Goerge of the Jungle" a few years back, and they hung a mannequin from the main cable as an SFX... we had 3 or 4 accidents and a number of calls about a guy hanging himself from the cables of our bridge. And why weren't we there??!!??

Now they use common sense. They still shoot here, but they're way restricted down from the idiotic antics of some of these HWAMFSOB's... and WE hold the trigger to shut them down when they get a case of stupiditis.

BTW... how you been??

Forgot this one from the F*RD Motor Company on Wednesday:

HWD's: You mean we have to clean up all the cigarette butts, food scraps, pieces of kleenex, Gatorade tops and rake out all the footprints and restore this to what is was before we got here? That's not fair.

Heli: Yes you do and that's just tough shit.

DId you really say just, NO to them or did you have to support your answers?

Rian, my aunt just started diving last year. She loves it!
Have you ever gone diving in Lake Superior?

Rian it’ll be good for you to establish other pursuits too so you don’t go at diving in an obsessive way.

( like I have a clue )

Yep, just point to the permit stipulations hat they signed after I went over it and then say:

No

Hell, I shut down a feature film crew in February who's daily budget was in excess of 200K. I have the final say. They were pissed but the resource comes first.

Oh they’ve heard about it but I think they’re having a hard time fitting it into the boiler plate situation comedy.

Burning Man says "NO" a lot to people wanting to film at the event. This is why I'm so surprised at the Discovery Channel thing. Speaking of which <shameless plug for the website> check this out: http://www.savebrc.org

Oh, and can I get a carrot juice please?

Burning Man will be featured on Malcom in the Middle this fall (as a parody, it wasn't actually filmed at the event, and does not have the LLC stamp of approval).

Good night, Z.

Yeah, tv can be very addictive.....there are new shows on every single night now that I'd love to watch, but you just can't get much done then. Not good.

Well, I guess I'll head out too.....
Night everyone.

yeah, the Reno 911 episode was great. They were going "deep undercover" for a drug sting operation and dressed up in drag and stuff and then proceeded to get lost on the way to Burning Man, where they got busted by another set of cops.
