How is it going with your calculations Barb Wire, do they give the same result as mine?

My calculations have taken quite some time, EL Wire. I think you must have forgotten to consider the moon and rotation of the earth in your calculations. On August 29th the moon raises at 01:06pm and sets at 10:34pm on the Playa. According to plan we will open up for the water from Pyramid Lake at 06:05am that day. The moon will pull the water more to the left of Center Camp, but still not hit it. A part of The Esplanade will get a great "ocean view"!
Image

Our secret agent have been down in the subterranean caves for an inspection. Everything looks promising for our Fjord Installation. All we'll have to do is pull the plug, and the water will find its way on its own.

Remember to bring your skates and warm clothes to the Burning Man event this year!

I can't keep the secret any longer. I guess you all know by now that on
August 29th the Camp Herring Fjord Installation will take place. Two days
later, on Thursday August 31st, we'll freeze the whole place. Experiments
from our CH Laboratory last summer was a great success! We brought
our equipment to a small lake deep into the woods where there rarely
came any people. Fortunately, no one noticed our experiment. It was in
the middle of July when the summer was at its warmest, about 85°F in the
air. The water in the lake was about 70°F. We installed our gear into the
water, and within 15 minutes, the lake was frozen solid! Analyzes showed
that the temperature in the ice was 28°F! Here’s a picture of that lake:
Image

What really amazed us was that we noticed a group of small herrings in
the ice. They have special chemicals in their blood to stop them from
freezing in the cold water.
Image Image

We’ve extracted those chemicals and put it into capsule tablets. Eating
one of those will keep you from freezing for 24 hours! You’ll feel nice and
warm for as long as the tablet works. They are, of course, only available
to members of Camp Herring. That’s why I suggest everybody else
should bring their warm clothes.
Image

We're going to have great fun with the freezing members of Kamp
Apokiliptika! Freezing temperatures are certainly no problems for the
members of Camp Herring.

Kernul, for the landlocked people stuck outside the arts mecca of SF, would you consider posting pictures of the art pieces that were accepted? I admit I'm curious what it looks like. And it never hurts to ask!

AH! K4, thanks for asking. You can see the two on my website:

http://www.kostoomarts.com

One is called "The Future" and is the front piece on the site. You MAY be able to guess the inspiration. The other is called "Noise Machine" and is found in the recent works link on the site- through the Art of Killbuck image... though it's only a detail shot.

Wow, this is a bit of a shock... did not expect they'd be accepted!!!!!

Being brutally honest it's very obvious why they were accepted. That is damn good work.
