So, how about bringing a nice Valkyrie from Norway for me to... eh...

Never mind. With my luck, she'd be on duty, and I'm not ready to die yet!

(Click, hummm...)

Announcer:
...We interrupt the Children’s Fairytale Hour to bring you breaking news from
Valhall. Please stand by for a live report.

(static, buzzing, click, click)

Reporter:
I am in the Press Room at Valhall where a startling development has taken
place. At approximately 13:00 hours today, Chief Valkyrie Gunnhild tendered her
resignation to take a post in the private sector. Such a voluntary resignation of
the prestigious lifetime appointment is unheard of in recorded history. Gunnhild
issued only a brief statement to the effect that she has accepted a position with a
civilian entity called Camp Herring, and that as a private citizen again, she will
finally be able to marry the man she has always adored -- one Elliot of Clearlake,
California. The wedding is scheduled for late August in Black Rock City, Nevada.
Further details are not available at this time. Back to the studio.

Announcer:
We have on the telephone the noted expert in battlefield warrior-retrieval,
Professor A. R. Mageddon. Professor, what sort of civilian opportunity can there
possibly be for a Valkyrie who has already reached the pinnacle of her career?

Professor Mageddon:
Well, it is not entirely clear yet what has happened, but we believe this is related
to the upcoming Apokilipse. We do know that the fiery Doom of the World is
expected soon, and we do know that this event will likely be centered in or near
Black Rock City -- specifically at a location known as Kamp Apokiliptika. So we
surmise that Gunnhild has been hired either to take charge of retrieving the entire
population of Earth from the battlefield all in one day, which would be quite a
promotion indeed, or, possibly, considering her professed affiliation with Camp
Herring, to prevent Doom in the first place. If this latter is the case, then such a
dramatic reversal of career philosophy would likely be a result her marriage.

well, thanks, Boxa - you've found the perfect illegal alien repellant. I'll forward this to my congressman & senators. Just imagine a few of these along the Rio Grande, swimmers heading south, blinded by the horror.

Being a paid agent of the so called "Feds"... the answer is no, they won't.

And in these days of Homeland Scrutiney... uh.... Security- you'll never get it past the men's room in the Greyhound Station! Oh, yes, you may try... but the enema tube is a dead giveaway.

Besides, the massive processor unit you will need on the playa, as well as the centrifuge, will be confiscated by the greeters. Have you NOT seen the signs?:

No Pets
No Firearms
No Nuclear Weapons Grade Processing unit, components or heavy water.

Lastly, as a Norwegian, you know that the German H Water project at the hydro electric dam was doomed... even before the brave Norske Commandos blew it up... (bless em all- I actually met two of the heroes). Heisenberg made sure of that.... sending the wretched Nazi fools down the wrong path to Fission. What a GREAT joke! Wish I had thought of it!

So, all of you out there worrying if the Norwegians have the bomb... sleep well.

Camp Herring gathering at Ekebergsletta

Post by Barb Wire » Tue Jun 20, 2006 11:39 pm

Last Saturday, The Wires was gathered at Ekebergsletta. Unfortunately Hot Wire wasn't able to make it (being 350 miles away), but another person surprisingly joined us...

Camp Herring is going to get you for this!
Kamp Apokiliptika messed up the Gerlach Webcam!
It's all bent down destroying the only view of the Playa we got here in Norway.
They lost their mitt climbing the roof.
Clear evidence!

Image

I recommend people to watch for them to pick the mitt up for a final evidence by following this link:
