Yeah, I've met someone special. There's not much to tell...we've known each other for years but things really started taking off before BM this year. Then after I got back it really took off...so much so that she's been back home 2 nights in the past 2 weeks. Otherwise she's stayed with me.

My only complaint is she's a Denver Broncos fanatic and I'm not putting a Broncos sticker on the back of my X-Terra. Other than that....things are just fine.

I could use a serious shot of Tequila about now....or three. And as soon as I get off work today I will be pouring vitamin T.

You've never heard of matza? It's what jew boy ate when he left Egypt as a slave. You've heard of Moses, right? The 10 plagues? It's the "bread of affliction". The jews didn't have time wait for their bread to rise so they ate this flat, crunchy, constipation inducing, cracker like "bread". We eat it on passover.

I met a japanese girl in a school girl's outfit.
When I asked her about it, she said it was just something she had to get out of her system.
It worked for her too.

In this day and age if you don't pay attention to them someone else will. They'll be gone. And it's your own damn fault if it happens.

I won't be taking her for granted. And I'm glad to have her and wish I hadn't had the worst case of cold feet imaginable.

Damn, I didn't notice the 3000 milestone there. Thanks for bringing it up BC. And thanks to the rest of the board for giving me 3000 different things to post about. And to think I made the post in the bar of all places. Damn, I've come a long ways on here. The long, strange, but usually very cool journey continues....

If I do get a letter or call from this place that advises me that my potential employer wants a drug screen I'm gonna get the employer's name and go directly to her/him and ask exactly who asked for this then advise the employer that the agency is charging me $200.00 for this and that they are also the lab people. I smell class action law suit.
I do not think a law suit would fly. Scenario:

Employer does not want to spend his own time screening applicants. So an agency is found who, for a small fee, will find suitable applicant that meets requirements given by employer. Employer also requires that applicants hired must pass a drug screen that is to be provided by the agency. The agency contracts with a local medical facility to get drug screens done at a discount rate. Then passes the charge on to the applicant along with a hefty fee for services rendered. (providing a place for you to get a drug screen done without having to set an appointment). Since all employers now require a drug screen for new employees they are garranteed getting the service fee.

Kind of sucks but what can you do?

I'll tell you what you can do! Tell the universe/cosmos that you want this job, be grateful that the right job is already there waiting for you, think positive and smile. Soon the job will come to you.

Sending positive waves your way.

Good thinkin Edude!

This interview I got tomorrw is (fortunately enough) NOT through the agency. Wish I didn't even go to that agency. Just that when I was working at this law firm back in 1993, we used that particular agency for help. Oh well, at least I got to see how well and bad I did on the tests and what I need to "work on". I knew I'd find the silver lining somehow.

Peace!

Lorgasm - try the smallest firms. I've always found that if you can swing it, they seem to have the least inter-office friction and are generally the best workplace environments. The smaller the better. Solo practice if possible. Law firms have the darndest ability to have backbiting, ladder-climbing staff that make a hobby of inter-office politics.

Good Luck - We Love You!!!

Mojo,
Thanks and I love you too. I worked for small firms and big firms. I find the big firms cater to the "Big Brother" mentality which kinda makes me feel untrusted sometimes.

I do like the small firms (see guys, size doesn't matter). I've always enjoyed them. I'm gonna see what happens tomorrow. See what they have to offer. If I do get hired with the money I seek, I will do the best I can. Maybe this firm isn't like the other biggies. dunno. What I do know is that you folks have been very supportive of my quest and anguish and it is deeply appreciated. I'm glad I have you to talk to without judgement. I've taken all your advises and tucked them away in my memory bank and heart. I want to see you all again. Gonna make sure that happens. Can't miss Pinemom's wedding.

Right now I'm just trying to tolerate this voyage. Glad I'm not alone. Thanks again.

Love and kiss-bites,
Lorgasm
