projector
My kid , the future Red Fox junk man..Pulled an overhead projector out of a dumpster..Well I own it now..Spent all day rebuilding it..First ruan all th wires for contineity..Had to work the fan and safety switch over..Then disassemble the lens and mirrors and clean them..I went to the office supply store for light bulb..""I's the big one"" "red fox" They wanted 25$ for that light..
Is it opaque or overhead?
I might be able to help you find a cheaper bulb.
Or you could put a more efficient light in.
Either cooler or brighter and a longer life.
Depends on what you want to do with it.

It would be a shame if I had to resort to self-deception to preserve my faith in objective reality.

It's the overhead..I've went the bulb $ already..Found a print shop that will make transparents..Only need like three or four..I will be using it to inlarge my drawings to desired size..Tanksanyway..
I think there is a special material that you can run through a standard copier or printer that makes transparencies.
Seems like 80 cents a page.
Sometimes a commercial blueprint shop can make enlargements cheaper than you can.
They are fading away though due to computer cad.
We had one near me that could do b/w up to six or eight feet wide.
If you need any blueprints done, hurry while the machines are still running.
I only found two large ones locally.

I'm in the R&D phase on some overhead projects myself, having scored one with functional bulb (!!) at a yard sale for nuthin'...Big, bare overhead spaces in the house need big projected images- INGSOC propaganda, Pop Art.....I don't care long's it's purty.

If you're printing transparencies on an inkjet printer be sure to get the ones specifically made for inkjets. (They have a rough side and a smooth side and you can get them through Phil's link) If you run a reguluar transparancy through one of those printers it won't dry and it will just wipe off.
