Not to worry. I parked the truck. It's right outside the bar. Behind the blue microbus.Bay Bridge Sue wrote:Ya know, I used to have this awesome Chevy truck that made really similar noises to BB's. for real!
I heard that monster-eating machine and Im surprised it made it out for yet another year!
Or you could find the local high school auto shop and see if the teacher would let the students fix it for ya!
I have to admit I was concerned for his ablilty to get off the playa. I'm still (no offense, BB, if you're reading this) amazed that it made it home. No offense, but yeah, that motor sounds like it's about 1 surprise short of a kablewie.
Ya know... I gotta mention, this also from first hand experience... it's a lot cheaper to get it fixed or replaced then it is to have it towed first.![]()

I am not surprised that it made it to BM and back. BM is where I was supposed to be. On the surface of it there are several clear reasons why I should not have gone. Yet it is the place I needed to be. So the universe smiled and I went. And I burnt another box. Maybe even lit some more on fire.
And here's the weird part. That truck was getting only about 10 miles to the gallon the last time I checked it. I was checking the mileage on the trip to and from BM and got an average of 20 miles to the gallon. How's that for the twilight zone?
I am not offended BB. Hey I was the only kid in school who did not give a rats rear about cars.
