Hardcore? I don't know. But I'll tell you this:
I drive 18-wheelers for a living, part time. Don't really want to, but need the income. When I'm on the road, I sleep in the bunk in the truck. Not quite like home, no. Makes me feel gloomy at times. Then I imagine I'm in my converted school bus on the Playa instead. Makes me feel SO much better!

During.... they thought he might have stopped off there.... That's why the missing man formation was flown during/over the event.......
Yea, weird... I was looking forward to see him fly in the air races......

I was a "jumper" for UPS again this holiday season, which means basically jumping on and off the truck with packages in hand to speed up delivery; I frequently imagined myself jumping on or off of moving MVs instead, and started drawing up designs for retrofit of a UPS truck for the playa...The shelves would sleep about a dozen people comfortably, and the skylights are nice. Just needs a ramp off the back, more lights and a platform on top!Elliot wrote:![]()

Alas, UPS never sells those vans. They use them and repair them and overhaul them until there is not enough left to bother to repair, and then they scrap them. It's a matter of company image. I'm told they even paint them white before they ship them to the scrap yard. And if you see one being towed after a collision or breakdown, the logos will probably be covered.
School bus, dude.
