Pinemom, that song drove me crazy today, and it is a very short drive!!!pinemom wrote:You know I just love that song...But I can never remember that 3rd verse!
I guess there is a reason none of the words on the last sentence...flow?
do'n do' do felling groovy....
I was sitting in my tractor blowing another foot of snow and moving at a whopping 1 mph which gets rather boring when your song came to mind. With nothing else to distract me, that song repeated for two hours!! I could not remember all the words either, but there was nobody else in the tractor to argue when I improvised!!

BoxB. I just noticed your signature block. Between that and Pinemom's song, I am doomed!!! If we have a good snow year, and we really need the snow, it will be three months before I can get that tune out of my head.
I must concentrate on Crown Royal!!!
How does that go again??
Let me think.
Something like

(CLARK subtly slides into a bar stool and graps a cup o' Joe) What's the good word tonight all? Just up at the station listening to some tunes and thinking about going out tonight, as I will be working during the real New Year. It's gonna be a "New" New Year's Eve night

Speed up, you move to slow
got to make the morning GO!
Ripping down the cobblestones
Dadadada, Feeling Hyper
Hello Lamppost, how's it going?
Got to get that caffine flowing
(dee dee dee dee da
Da da de)
Dadadada, Feeling Hyper
I've got places to go
And people to meet
My Eyeballs are popping
I can't get to sleep

Sting, I wish. And I dont' even like sting. I was in cahoots with the woman who dumped her husband for a man she met on the internet who had creep written on his forehead in big letters, because he promised to impregnate her and oh my god, he turned out to be a stalker. Anyway, she blew off all her friends (myself included) at the same time she left her husband, and blamed us for everything. But that was circa 2001 and we updated those lyric mid-eighties so I forgot the 2nd half of the 2nd verse. If anyone has some bright idears, feel free. Just remember to sing that song as fast as you can, like you're channelling a punk rocker.

Sitting on that tractor and thinking about that song really got to me, so I was thinking about changing it a bit to make it fit the moment. Next I read Fishy and BoxB's posts and I guess that forced the issue, so here goes:
Slow down, the snows too deep, drop a gear down into creep
Just easing down the old driveway, throwin' the snow and feelin' groovy
Feeling groovy
Hello snowbank, what's cha knowing. Gettin' a chill with the wind blowin'
Wish I had Crown Royal for me, do-it-do-do, feelin' groovy
Feeling groovy
I've got driveways to blow, now what did I think
I left my bottle sittin' there next to the sink
Let the dark clouds drop all their snow flakes on me
Sun I miss you, all is groovy

It might be a bit quiet in here tonight, but if you really want to be alone in this bar you need to visit it in late August, then you are alone!!robbidobbs wrote:Ok, I'll sit quietly here and drink my beer.
RobbiDobbs finds an abandoned case of Henry Weinhart's behind the Bar, cracks it open, and gets to work on it.
All alone on ePlaya...waiting for my computer to crash...again.
Do you mind if I grab one of those Weinhart's and head back to my corner booth?

I used to be able to get hammered before driving, now I just need a lot of zzz's. I hope the weather cooperates for you, around here the roads are pretty tricky. With four days of continous snow, the roads are real slick, at least most of the drivers are slowing down.robbidobbs wrote:I'll be driving tomorrow am, and then back on tuesday pm, but I don't have any plans in between times, but getting HAMMERED.

If the dancer gets the turntable, what happens, does it go to the Y-M-C-A ??robbidobbs wrote:That! is a BRAIN MUSIC VIRUS...

BWAH HA HA HA!!!
Don't get me started on R-E-S-P-E-C-T.
too late.
Please note: do NOT let the dancer get a hold of the turntable.
Robbi dashes behind the Bar and collects another (sixth!) beer

TITWI! So glad to see you!
We got plenty of rum...
rifles thru dusty bottles, and pulls out a half-bottle of spice-rum, and a 1/4 bottle of 151.
