A privacy statement for sixdegreeburn will be written soon, thanks SQLGuru. This site has gone from less than 200 members a few days ago to 349 members yesterday to 766 today. Anyhoo, here's the lowdown from Bru-che who created it. (Kudo's to Jefferson Starship for the artwork, and SQLGuru for... well, SQL stuff).

Why?
Some folks are asking me "why" I created this site. I am not an artist, so it's hard for me to compete with all you creative types out there that bring so much culture to the community. However, I can do a bit of coding, and there are many things I've seen on the playa that I've wanted to know more about you can't talk to 30,000 people in a week. This makes me feel like I can contribute to the community and helps me find out more about all the art you create. And getting some of the encouraging emails from legendary folks that are the heart and soul of Burning Man is pretty rewarding too.

Privacy Statement
Many people have been really paranoid about me not having a privacy statement. Never thought about it.
I don't even know where to begin with such a thing.
I did not begin this site to gather information about anyo! ne, none of your emails are leaving my database…
Even you passwords are "hashed" before they are stored in the database. Someone looking at the db could not decipher them, here's what mine looks like: F01B7850D5D3C61C58EB4FFF715EFBEF
The server is NOT stored at my home, it is at a reputable hosting service with all the necessary security.
