How long will the voter buy the Republican Lies!

Post by Apollonaris Zeus » Wed Jan 16, 2008 7:12 pm

Carl Rove repeats the longest standing mantra/lie of the republicans:

Lower Taxes- wait till they have to pay for the cus that generated the-

Budget Balance- the greatist budget deficit ever is GW Bush's legacy.

Smaller Government- Never has government reached levels of the current administration. It is bigger and still growing like the blob monster.

International Police state= America is more involved with more military interventions in more countries then ever before creating the new Roman era of occupation.

Hey Joel! See the perpetual lie of the Republicans. Show me the facts that prove that republicans are what you say!

Historical Cites please!

Romey Money or McCain Cain will not change a thang!

Barrack Attack!

How long will the voter buy the Republican Lies?

Roughly the same amount of time they buy the Democratic lies.

If I win what do I get?

At least as long as they buy the democrat lies.

I' vote for Thomas Jefferson if he were still around.

These days he'd either have to lie to get into office or remain retired.

Seriously, until people figure out (again) that politicians and our government are not something to be trusted, we are all fuct. I don't know what kind of uneducated retards actually think this is a red v blue, dem v repub, contest. It's a "we the people" v the government. "Our" representatives should be just that, ours.

Just as Dominus says; it's reached a point where it's "we the people" against GOV. We're adversaries. We get tasered for speaking up, jailed for dissenting. We get laws to muzzle us against the slightest protest. We become enemy combatants for disagreeing,,, you don't need to wave a weapon. If we tire of killing millions of people to protect Israel, we become some new brand of traitors.
The lies have to keep coming. It doesn't matter if it comes out of the ass end of a donkey or an elephant.
The US comptroller-general says that we already have 52 trillion in unfunded debt. Clinton has promised us universal medical coverage. The current drug plan is a budget-buster. They might as well lie, lies are free The truth would cost more than we could ever pay.

The constitution guarantees us representative government. That's a dead issue.
The constitution tells us to resort to arms to throw off a repressive government. I don't see that happening very soon. Timothy Mcveigh had an answer.
The lies have always been there. They won't stop any time soon. GOV is only looking out for the interests of GOV. With a plan like that, how could they possibly tell the truth?
I don't post things because I believe that they are the absolute truth. I post them because I believe that they should be considered.

Americans get the leaders they (secretly) want or deserve, and which are a great reflection of the people themselves. Sad...

The difference between politicians and us regular folk is that politicians fart at both ends.

What it all boils down to.

I've come to the conclusion that this is a contest between the lizzard brains and mammalian thinking. Lizzardbrains can't process mammalian cortical reasoning and the mammal's can't understand why the lizzards don't get it. It probably will take another asteroid collision before we can straighten this all out.

The most basic core problem is VOTER APATHY!

I don't have easy answers on how to get voter turnout higher, but if it were as high as in other democracies, things would be much, much different.

All the questions of the role of the media, the role of public education teaching people about politics, the manipulation and lies that campaigns and politicians and interest groups put out there, the HUGE role that corporate funded interest groups and lobbies have......

All of it would not have such a large influence if MORE PEOPLE VOTED.

Younger voters = Democrats
Older voters = Republicans
(for the most part)
So it's a matter of time.

those that don't have, but, want vs those that have and want to keep,
I'd say that's also valid.

idealists vs pragmatists.......too

Both good, both valid, differing POV's........though.......

Interesting on that works.

Bush vetoes no bills during the Republican's control of congress.

Dems gain control of congress and now bush vetoes almost every bill written by Dems.

i don't suppose it has ever occurred to you that the democrats might write bills they know bush will veto in order to make the republicans look partisan? that is a tool, you know.... one among many ...

but, as i said, it looks like a shake-up will happen ... and in 4 years blaming bush will be very stale. i will be as happy as anyone if everything gets better. but you ... if things get worse, even much much worse, i have little doubt that you will still be trumpeting the old anti-republican line. it's all you know ...

besides extremely tasteless polls, i mean ...
