Well, I go away for Halloween and you all go off into la-la land....as expected.
DVD--if you can't answer any of the cites you called for why bother talking...
And this, this was rich--
How do you know Obama even said that? If indeed he did, then when?
Do you really know that little about the man you intend to vote for? It's HIM reading on the audio version of one of his books--I belive it's Dreams from My Father.
And my intent on posxting that was to highlight the lack of inclusivity shown--in favor of appearing to harbor the right thoughts.
And if he did, what did it prove? That he has a diverse group of friends around him? Nothing that would give me, or any other worldly thinking person pause.
Diverse? A single viewpoint was sought there. Diversity is not represented by a bunch of people who all think alike--no matter how many skin color, ethnicities or sexual persuasions you can jam in.
The only people that would give worry to might be insecure uneducated white folk--like maybe skin heads, white supremacists and their ilk--oh and let's not forget those backwoods people that only have their guns and god to cling to.
Ah, I see. Like many, your idea of 'radical inclusion' only means including people who think like you.
While "uneducated white folk, skin heads, and white supremacists" are in short supply in the circles I move in, I have no problem in seeking out diverse viewpoints. Ones' positions can only be tested, proved true or false, or otherwise if one IS inclusive in one's choice of friends. If one surrounds themself with people who all think alike one tends to overestimate the effect of that type of echo chamber on the world as a whole.
Try talking to some of those people who cling to guns and god--maybe you'll find that you don't think all their stances are idiocy.
