Simon, I agree with you on Africa. There are 750,000 Chinese there already. They aren't there on vacation. Africa is ultra-rich on minerals. The US needs to crash China before they get an unbreakable toehold there.

Speaking of the same old shit; It's obvious that we need a serious change in this country. McCain represents the same old same old. Biden has been around for a long time also. He's probably just as rotten as the rest.
Call me uncharitable but, what if Obama is just a red herring to pull in votes. He'll be tossed out right after the election on the technicality of his foreign birth. Biden will appoint Cheney as VP.
I don't post things because I believe that they are the absolute truth. I post them because I believe that they should be considered.

Mike Connell, Rove's IT fixer, ordered to testify on Monday

by Press Release (Posted by Press Release)

www.opednews.com

Mike Connell, Rove's IT fixer, ordered to testify on Monday

At the end of the day yesterday at the Carl Stokes Federal Court Building in Cleveland, US District Judge Solomon Oliver denied Michael Connell's motion to quash the subpoena issued for his deposition testimony ordered the deposition to take place at Noon on Monday Nov. 3, 2008, in Cleveland.

Connell was a key inside IT contractor for Ken Blackwell in the administration of the 2004 and 2006 elections, while managing the IT function for the Bush Presidential campaigns and other Republican partisan campaigns in 2000, 2004 and 2006.

Plaintiffs' counsel and Plaintiffs' cyber security expert Stephen Spoonamore in the King Lincoln case before US District Judge Algenon in Columbus have identified Connell as a key witness to Karl Rove's various maneuvers affecting elections during this decade.

A copy of the minutes of yesterday's proceeding is attached.

Sure would be nice to see this lead back to Rove with enough information for an indictment.

Well, I go away for Halloween and you all go off into la-la land....as expected.

DVD--if you can't answer any of the cites you called for why bother talking...

And this, this was rich--
How do you know Obama even said that? If indeed he did, then when?

Do you really know that little about the man you intend to vote for? It's HIM reading on the audio version of one of his books--I belive it's Dreams from My Father.

And my intent on posxting that was to highlight the lack of inclusivity shown--in favor of appearing to harbor the right thoughts.
And if he did, what did it prove? That he has a diverse group of friends around him? Nothing that would give me, or any other worldly thinking person pause.
Diverse? A single viewpoint was sought there. Diversity is not represented by a bunch of people who all think alike--no matter how many skin color, ethnicities or sexual persuasions you can jam in.
The only people that would give worry to might be insecure uneducated white folk--like maybe skin heads, white supremacists and their ilk--oh and let's not forget those backwoods people that only have their guns and god to cling to.
Ah, I see. Like many, your idea of 'radical inclusion' only means including people who think like you.

While "uneducated white folk, skin heads, and white supremacists" are in short supply in the circles I move in, I have no problem in seeking out diverse viewpoints. Ones' positions can only be tested, proved true or false, or otherwise if one IS inclusive in one's choice of friends. If one surrounds themself with people who all think alike one tends to overestimate the effect of that type of echo chamber on the world as a whole.

Try talking to some of those people who cling to guns and god--maybe you'll find that you don't think all their stances are idiocy.

Not that I really should attempt to figure out what you are talking about, being you dont know what you are talking about anyway, but humor me.

I provide cites-- at your petulant demand--and you ignore them, as I suspected you would.

And now you play dumb--something I've been impressed by your expertise with.
Here you go--and it's a twofer--it's got the bogus donors AND the broken pledge regarding campaign funding--

Now let's see....
Again, I really expect no answer--you, like the rest of your ilk, are way too far gone for any coherent response, but what the heck.

Oh, this was posted 28 minutes after this--

ok, you're right...happy?

McCain still loses in a landslide.....Dems only get 58 in the senate, so it wont be a full sweep, that should give you some solace.

now, can we all be americans and congratulate Mr. Obama on his Masterful Campaign?

and lets get down to the business of running this country, not running it into the ground, as we have seen the current administration do.

we have no argument there, do we Lurker?

I Hope that Barack Obama is up to the task that has been dumped on him, the aegean stables looked better than this shit.

I think he is, but that is my opinion, and i will express it in the voting booth tomorrow.

Simon, how can you say okay, you're right and STILL vote for the man?

He's ALREADY broken promises--and his campaign is out there right now telling people not to expect him to deliver on all the utopian promises.

He's engaged in fraudulent registration and fundraising--and you think things will actually get BETTER?

I didn't do too bad in the past 8 years--in the past two there have been some xissues--but I can easily blame the Dem congress if I really thought the way you appear to be thinking--hell, the gas spike and the Fannie/Freddy collapse happened with a Dem controlled congress.

Didn't happen before...same adminstration.....so what changed? Falls right in the dems lap.

sigh, it's been as horrible a political season as they've all become. I'll be glad when it's over.

I'm predicting a mid-December win for McCain--gets it tomorrow, but the lawsuits roll out as the ballots tell the tale. And I think the idiot will try to do the 'noble'(stupid) thing--but he'll be kept on task by people who want Palin in 2012/16.

So we'll see.

Look at the article. Not once does he post any proof of what source he uses. They always do that. I have been reading them for years. Everyone and their great grand mother knows what their agenda is, but hey, you will just say I am just disagreeing with anything you post so......

It's all moot anyway. You have nothin.

One last time into the fray. I want to urge California voters to forget about the presidential election for a moment and instead focus on Prop 8. This is framed by as a defense of marriage, but it is an attack on anyone who has a non-traditional sexual preference.

In my opinion, marriage is degraded by denying it to those who want it. It was not all that long ago that it was legally denied on the basis of different races. Was it more sacred then? I think not.

Dougly, Africa is really loaded with minerals. It is the site of the second largest astrobleme on earth. The meteor broke through the mantle and brought up lots of good stuff; " BIC is the location of the majority of world's known reserves of platinum group metals (PGMs)."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vredefort_crater Lots more besides the platinum group.
You can bet your last dollar that any country with mineral wealth is on our list to be screwed over. There are 17 strategic elements that we can only get from China. They probably all exist in the Vredefort impact crater.
Lets see if the Chinese can keep out the CIA.

it's such a thought experiment:

If we need the minerals, and, we know the Chinese, or someone else, is going after them, especially "someone else" that might be an adversary, should we go after them, or not?
Allowing that the country they're in can't or won't defend their rights to them.........

Power corrupts and also,,, power attracts the corrupted. The US GOV will trash any place,,, any people to get what they want. Africa is toast.

What ever happened to trade, negotiate, cooperate, respect, to get what we want? Must it always be war?

Hmmm....McCain (how many times did he use the word "fight" in his campaign?) or Obama?

This is why I'm voting for Obama.

yes, all you suggest.
What I'm posing, though, is, if the owners can't or wont supply us, and, our adversary is going to take it, and, potentially use it against us in one form or another, is it our best interest to get it first?
I'm not saying it's ok, or ideal, but.........

There are lots of things that could be in one's best interest; yet that doesn't mean they should be done. It would be in my best interest to rob a bank because they won't just give me all their money. Or I could just go in and steal all the guns from a gun store because they won't give them to me and someone else could get them and use them to rob me.

Doesn't make it any more right or even legal, be it a country or a person.

It sort of pisses me off that we are trying to stop Iran from getting a nuclear weapon, where do we get the right? We got them, Russia got them, China got them.

Maybe Iran wouldn't be near as threatening if we would just open up a dialogue with them? (Let's not go off on the religious fundimental radicalism issue right now, ok? :) )

Our defense is one thing, but bullying the rest of the world to get what we want is just wrong; and since Bush has been in office, there are many countries around the world that would agree with me.

He was in charge--remember what a famous president once said? "The Buck Stops Here".

And yes, the last eight years would have been much different under another president. Bush and his entire administration were incompetitent war mongers that did nothing good for the country and raped it for the benefit of themselves and their friends.

The thing that is most scarry about this world is knowing there are people that think like you and actually believe they are reasoning soundly.
