When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Seek and ye shall find.....

I mean, given the known aliases of
1) SENIOR GENERAL CHAOS
2) B. DUKE
3) TWO STAR GENERAL
4) REVEREND CYBER SATAN
I'm assuming this might be one in the same.

add this to Isotopia's info. I'd put his name and ID number above the address and see if it gets there.

Also it seems that his birthday is in July.

thank you ISO, i was going thru a friend of scout's but you were the fastest on the e-draw, so to speak.

anyway, it's no fun in Jail, and any letters from the outside, especially from burners and the like would probably make prometheus, i mean paul, at least know that we watch out for our own, regardless.

so send him a letter, tell him you love him, tell him you think he's an asshole, tell him you secretly voted for McCain just to see what it was like, whatever you feel like sharing, but i'm sure he'll appreciate it and will cherish them forever.

or not.

then again, a whole boatload of mail, a la miracle on 34th st. would make even the most jaded playan shed a tear of joy.

merry christmas Paul, i suggest michener books to pass the time. they're huge and semi-historical.

Sure, go ahead and torture the guy some more. Why not just sear his eyeballs out?

I'd go with Clavell. More epic-y.

I know he burnt down the man and all - But it was a prank - Yes arson, some one could have got hurt - well it's burningman- wasn't it cool to see the man burn under the eclispe- yes arson- but a prank- Jail time over a prank? I would have never voted jail time- We Should have VOTED - I don't think most Burners would have voted JAil- Maybe he should have built the whole new man himself or worked EXDUOS for ever MOre- Or make him head of cleaning stopped up porta pottie truck hoses- WE could have come up with something I'm SURE- but jail time for a prank??? yessssssss it was arson
I don't know- I'm a libra soooo I could go back and forth all nite...

Bottom line is that JAIL Sucks and he is a fellow burner...

and this quote off of tribe from Dyami says it pretty well...

"The ones who are the hardest to love, are the ones who need it MOSt-
the lost frat boys, empty eyed ravers, tourist & drunk partiers (I'm adding jaded lost burners) NEED Burning Man more than we do- And they NEED us to teach BURNING MAN to them"
(or remind them it the case of Jaded Burners)

sooooo I'm sending a card...

i almost got arrested in Carlin once when i was riding my moto to BM in 2002.

thank god, (no pun intended) i did my usual trick of stuffing a bible on TOP of everything in my backpack, and by golly, that shit works miracles for turning a cop your way...

"i am not the droid you are looking for, i'm a church goer"

there is one of the Largest Gold mines just north of there as well as some spooky Gubbermint shit.

all in all, weirder than Elko, but not as much as Wendover.

god, i love Northern Nevada, it's so bad its Good.

i would have voted Jail too, but maybe not as much, and i think Community Service in the Gerlach-Empire-Nixon area would have benefited both the community and the server more than just Time and a Fine.

i'm not condoning what he did. It was dangerous, and selfish.

the big question is, does he realize that now? Is he Truly Sorry for what he did and what might have happened had the Emerg. Crews not been so on the ball?

i dont think he thought the whole thing out very well, nor do i think the chemicals helped that process at all either.

he committed a crime, on BLM land, and it is their jurisdiction, not the "Burning Man Community" that has legal sway on the matter, and i can only imagine what kind of punishment might have been meted out by a rightfully angry org...

I am merely hopefully assisting in his rehab. If you know any other Burners in Jail, please Post their Name and Address, and I'll send them a card too.

i'm reminded of the story of Jesus and the pharisee, whom do you forgive More?

maybe paul should wash burners feet for a week, that is unless he has a foot fetish, in which case something else would do.

I thought I read somewhere that he was off his meds for some sort of mental condition--bi-polar maybe? Dont know for sure maybe somebody has more on that.

He was just denied parol recently. He won't be coming up again until sometime next year.

He's actually in a facility where there are no bars and no razor wire. Very, very minimum security.

He's hoping to have CDs sent to him although I'm not sure what bands he's interested in.

I suggest Abba and old Barbara Streisand.

If you write him a letter let him know his cat is doing OK and likes his new home.

I'll send him a Meat Beat Manifesto CD with scratches on it. He is really lucky he didn't get more time for endangering the lives of others the way he did. If there would have been a guy line decapitation he would have gotten life for sure. Whats really sad is the lack of compassion for ruining the experience for so many folks. During the early burn I was busy trying to rest my foot that year after trying to help build camp over the weekend, I missed out on the pavilion thanks to Paul because by the time everything was sorted my foot was fucked again.

Thank you Paul for making sure artists are afraid to bring art to Burningman lest some arsonist asshole like you torches it early.

The sheer irony of that statement is that one of the lead guitarists for the MBM was one of the first to respond to the incident. He's also a Ranger.

He's not a burner.

He's an Arsonist!

And Yes there is a difference. He has been caught setting fires to other people's property outside of BM and someone could have died in those events.

Who knows what fires he has set? Grass and forest fires?

While I agree with the general sentiment, that may not be the most appropriate quote. Prometheus giving fire to man is a metaphor for power and knowledge. I know you were going for the fire tie-in, but it just rubs me the wrong way.

The man was caught, he was tried, and now he is serving his sentence. The guy clearly has serious problems over and above the pyro thing, if he can get help with those and he serves his time he could well be a productive citizen. I would advise against his being a citizen of BRC but I prefer to allow for the possibility of redemption.

I'd also go with pyromaniac over arson if you need a label. Arson is the act of setting fire to a structure and applies here, but arsonist implies a certain degree of motive, like burning down a building for the insurance money. Paul Addis's arsons seem to be the result of mental illness. He didn't profit from them in any way. Actually in this case I would leave the labelling to the psychologists.
Strickland Propane is proud to be supplying liquified natural gas explosive power to the art installations of the mega festival Burning Man!!!

I think the above post is about the only one that really matters here.

Love him, hate him, curse him or bless him the bottom line is that the guy is sick. He has a mental illness. The real crime here is that as far as I know the limited resources in the state of Nevada pretty much assures that his illness goes either untreated or is marginally addressed.
