The Rave Act?....
this passed in 2003 on the back of one of the child protection bills as an add in, championed by Fienstien. I'm a little worried about holding burning type of event not only because of the excessive fines but because they can also confiscate my property. This is one of the issues the Water Woman group is being careful about in selecting their location. Has this been relaxed because of the Obama admin?

Humm, very interesting.
quote..
The Illicit Drug Anti-Proliferation Act is a United States federal law enacted on April 30, 2003. A substantially similar Act was proposed during the previous Congress as the Reducing Americans' Vulnerability to Ecstasy Act (RAVE Act).

unknown and to me interesting as to why the law is not printed at Wiki

Interesting. I wasn't aware of this one. Another time and money wasting law on the books to help us lose the 'war on drugs'. They have about as much hope in stopping drug use as they would stopping sex. Both are quite pleasurable when done right, and people are motivated by anything that is feels good. It's difficult, if not impossible to change human nature.

I think we are an authorized RAVE since we have our BLM "Permit To Party" (POP).Rabbi Dali Rick wrote:..... I'm a little worried about holding burning type of event.....

It's one of those feel good laws that politicians pass. It has only circumvented peoples right to Legally assemble.
You have to watch out for those Democratic Fascists!
I say party on and let them get a warrent to enter your property. You have a right and it's been defended in a court that you aren't responsible for the actions that individuals participate. I would be more worried about underage drinking then a few X'ers and who you invite.
We might have a narc or two on eplaya that pose as your best friends.
Reducing Americans' Vulnerability to Ecstasy Act No Thank You!

I'd add "watch out for the government" (fascist or whatever) in general.......Apollonaris Zeus wrote:It's one of those feel good laws that politicians pass. It has only circumvented peoples right to Legally assemble.

for some time now, it hasn't really mattered, IMHO, what party is in power, our rights and freedoms are eroding at an ever increasing rate.....

If this is the basis of the act:
To prohibit an individual from knowingly opening, maintaining, managing, controlling, renting, leasing, making available for use, or profiting from any place for the purpose of manufacturing, distributing, or using any controlled substance, and for other purposes. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
Among the items listed in the "Findings" section include statements regarding rave promoters providing "chill rooms" and bottled water for large fees, where participants can go and cool down from the body-temperature-raising effects of ecstasy; and selling "neon glow sticks; massage oils; menthol nasal inhalers; and pacifiers that are used to combat the involuntary teeth clenching associated with ecstasy
Rebbi, just don't provide any of the above and your good to go, Mr Rebbi Raver!
I'm sure many of you recall that before this law was written, our friends at the DEA send some X to a lab for testing on animals in which they found that X is just as bad as Meth. Those finding were used in during the presentation to promote this law. Many people believe that the DEA knew fully that the results of X wouldn have been benigh prompting them to act. Especially in a time when more important issues were at hand- like terrorism! To date, I can't find a single post-mordum exam supporting the X-death connection.

As I was saying, almost every Post Mortem exam revealed that X was present, but not in levels to cause death except in one case. In those other tests, other drugs were consumed. Tests did not state whether other toxins were discovered, such as poisons or heavy metals. In many case where a toxicology test wasn’t performed, associates statements were the only source of information relating to the deaths. One can not define causal death based on hearsay evidence.
In other words, this law is a reaction to a propaganda effort on the DEA and Police.
Legalization and education would make deaths a very rare event!

Re: The Rave Act?....
more than that, the BM permit does not get issued UNTIL the BM llc demonstrates (through written policies, etc) to the BLM that it is against illegal substances and has made statements to the attendees that they are not allowed and will not be tolerated. This includes such things as not allowing discussion of illegal activities on this forum, written warnings in the survival guide, tickets, and websites, etc.wedeliver wrote:I think we are an authorized RAVE since we have our BLM "Permit To Party" (POP).Rabbi Dali Rick wrote:..... Once these hoops are jumped through, the BLM and BM llc can legitimately claim (and prove in court) that all reasonable steps were taken to prevent said activity, and therefore the individual is responsible and not the llc.

I think I read, perhaps piss clear, that Mr. Kingpin Harvy's first message about drugs where that they were bad and people should stop doing them. I think he then requested that everyone send him their drugs so he could properly dispose of them. Then I heard of this pharmacy opening in Fallon...Apollonaris Zeus wrote:What, everyone know that Larry "El Vicentillo" Harvey is the playa's Mexican Drug Kingpin
I have friends that tell me they like doing vicodin and viagra as a "drug cocktail". These are prescribed medications. and the fucking drug abusers are in their 60's
