They worked good for the dust but the metal at the top of my nose was uncomfortable and at times interferred with my goggles.
This year I'm thinking of using a Wolfsnout Dust Mask, pictured below. Anyone familiar with them?

Lightweight, easy to decorate, and I could breathe and talk fine during the white-outs. I just had it hooked onto my backpack.
I think my biggest aversion to this is that it doesn't really fit with the whole "leave no trace" ethos... I know you aren't just chucking them on the playa but they don't really recycle well.OnceTheDustClears wrote:I buy the cheapest white painter's masks I can find.
