Extra padded strap is a good idea for the Camelbak! Why didn't I think of that!Bling wrote:Finished one Gator/boot decoration; the other will take me another hour or so tomorrow. Then on to decorating the Camelbak & constructing some nice, soft, padded strap covers...

I tested the glow in the dark paint from http://www.readysetglo.com/ last night. I painted one of my tape measures with the stuff.
excellent results. I 'charged' the paint for about 20 minutes under a normal incandescent light in my basement. It was still glowing this morning about 12 hours later. Not quite as bright as initially, but still visible in the dark.

It's pointless to walk when it's past time to run.

Last night was "hell" night on constructing our 20'x30' shade structure...had to measure and hand cut over twenty-five 1" emt poles. The freaking thing better fit together tonight! My mantra is "it's all worth it in the end!"
Next weekend: reconstruction of our art car...

MyLarry got the wooden transport box/table made for the new camp stove/oven. I got the dustcover cozy made for the stove out of old denim scraps from jeans he's worn out over the years. Not my best work, but functional. I do need to paint the box.
I simply haven't got my art studio up and running. I'm going to be bitching come the end of July!

I made them my first year for my coolers and it has been one of my best ideas ever. Training the camp mates to put them back on has been a struggle at times! It only takes a second to whip them on or off, and it makes a world of difference in keeping the coolers cool and in cleaning the stove later.Bling wrote:Dust cover for the stove--what a great idea! I never thought of that. Thanks, AntiM!

Hopefully going to look at a hammock some time this weekend! Found one on craigslist that sounds perfect.

Gifted a ticket, how cool!
I just finished sewing Velcro onto a vest for my sweetie, and adding 3 panels of sound-activated flames (removed from some t-shirts on eBay). Way cool! I glued glow-in-the-dark dots on my overjacket & painted some glow-in-the-dark flowers on one side. Once that paint dries (it's slow!), I'll paint the other side and then add El-wire. But not tonight

Folding Bikes
We test rode some good folding bikes yesterday. I think are going to work perfectly for our packing situation.
Today I got me and the mister a couple of these kick ass flashlights:

They have them on Amazon but I got ours at the local Ace Hardware.

It's beautiful Elliot. (Although I first saw the photo and flashed to a long arc and crash image in my mind. ) Whew, sort of relief to hear that it is for playing (some at any rate)
I always wondered if it was a myth that they put tacks on the hammers of the honky tonk pianos to make them sound that way. Anyone remember Big Tiny Little?
