Knock it off, hippies!

You're going to make me cry. And are making me feel all these warm fuzzy things inside, that I don't know how to handle.

Yeah, crying one's self to sleep can be exhausting.

You now owe me a sandwich, since I just spent my entire lunch break (+ some) reading all 1000 questions/answers, even the repeats...
I'll collect my sandwich in 90 days.
BTW, do you have any cats?
What other people think about you is none of your business.

Today's item, I sewed the 2nd Shemagh I'm bringing.

Image

This one's a bit thicker cotton and so a tad hot compared to the first one (which matches my hair better) :

Craft Room!

Post by diamondmoth » Tue Jun 01, 2010 9:01 pm

My conquest for the day: Tackling my craft room.

I love that we live in Montana and can afford to live in a house. That's coming from previously living in a studio in downtown Seattle...me, boy, and three cats.... ugh.

So I have the downstairs living room as my craft room. So far it's awesome and today I got to go through all my goodies and set up my sewing machine! YAY!

It looks like a hurricane/angry cross dresser trashed the place but I assure you, it's organized chaos...
Image
also my cats have a cat tree...in the shape of a tree!

I've been buying a lot of slips at thrift stores to alter into some funky light weight dresses.

Ha ha, last night I started cleaning my sewing room, too! Ended up with a whole 'nother bag of stuff for Scratch's Costume Camp, at Transformus.

Hung up all my costumes out of the bin they were in - unpacked some playadust bags from last year (unicorn and fur bikini), that was fun.

Decided on the new costume for this burn season, just need some el wire...and somebody who knows how to make stuff with it.

It must be a Spring thing, or something because I too had to clean up the studio yesterday. I opened fabric bins, found some cool stuff I forgot I had and...came across about 2 yards of pale pink fake fur if anyone wants it. I am using brighter colors so don't need it. If you want I can mail it to you or if you're in SF area I can drop it. Send me a PM if you want it otherwise it goes to a clothing swap.

Actually the sale sucked. Everything was still pretty over priced.
Though CLIF bars and MRE's were on sale, so we stocked up on those. The MRE's were even cheaper than the Army Surplus.

I also bought some Dr. Bronners soap. Going to try it out on my camping trip in the next few weeks.

Congrats on the skirt. We just started using Dr. Bronners at home, I really like it. I like the slimy feel of it that some complain about. The minty smell is really nice too. It's got great bubbles.

I love that font.

RE: Dr. Bronner's - slimy? I've never heard that before. If anything, people complain Dr. Bronner's leaves them too squeaky clean.
