Whats with the bell???
Sometimes the greeters get "slammed" with too many people in line to do justice to your virgins. If that happens, feel free to pull over in the lot to the right at greeter's station and come back to ask for a full baptism. Bring your camera. Ringing the virgin bell and making dust angels is a right of passage.

I was sick as a dog when I first went into the city and I missed my bell and dust angels.
I'm secretly defiant on the matter.

When you say search... they open all your gear/supplies? I read somewhere about alcohol disappearing during these searches...ygmir wrote:you can always lie......but, when asked the "returning veterans" question, and, if you miss it, you're branded as a "ner-do-well", and, then, sent to see Torquemada, for your initiation...........winebuff wrote:Can I lie and say I am NOT a vrigin even though I am? Ok with the spankings but dust angels dont sound too great. My daughter went this year and she wouldnt tell me what happened at the gate. Hmmm, should I be scared in 2010? I heard a guy was blowing dust into rvs. I am bringing a small rv that I am tricking out. Maybe I better lock the door upon arrival huh?
don't bother locking the door, you have to let them search........and, if you think you're going to keep the dust out of your tricked RV. well............
I might suggest you read a lot here, and the past threads related to weather and dust conditions out there, before thinking you can keep your RV dust free, especially if your going to open the door..........
not trying to scare or put you off, but, it might be good to do more research into what you are planning, and, expecting.............

Mostly they are looking for stowaways. This means that they look in big containers, large enough to hide a human body. So don't bring uber-large totes and you'll be okay.MistressSybs wrote:When you say search... they open all your gear/supplies? I suppose that alcohol does and has dissapered. I'm also resonably certain that it's discouraged by the powers that be. If you're really worried, let it ride shotgun, or at least someplace in vicinity of someone in the vehicle.

I'd say the details of any search are up to the gate person conducting same. But, it's my understanding, that yes, they can open gear.MistressSybs wrote:When you say search... they open all your gear/supplies? I've heard of booze disappearing too....not had it happen personally, though. I know, some folks purposely leave a beer or refreshment out, for the searcher, as a gift......I'd imagine, there can be a wide interpretation as to what was left where, as being a gift.......
