Through a previous post, I've learned Gorilla tape has a higher melting point, for its adhesive. Online, I learned it has much more adhesive. I've only seen it in black, so that could totally nullify the melting point advantage. Gonna try it out in July. Ill get back..

I have used Gorilla Tape the last 2 years with no problems at all. I buy a large roll and keep it at camp - but I also found a 1 inch wide smaller roll - and keep that in my backpack. Tis VERY handy for all sorts of stuff!

Another vote for Gorilla tape. That stuff will hold anything.

I know it will keep a headlight housing attached to a volvo. Still held strong, when I replaced the broken headlight.

Watch out with duct tape and the playa heat.

Years back I used a small length to hold my dreads into a bundle because the weather was so hot.

I kept it on for a few days and when I removed it the glue had stuck to my hair. I spent three days after the event washing it with vinegar, Dawn dish soap and essence of sandlewood to get the first layer of gunk off.

It was AWEFULL!!!!!!

My chiropractor had to get the rest off and she wouldn't tell me what chemicals were in it because she was sure that if I knew it would wreck my neck chakra for TWO full lunar cycles.

So I suggest watching out. Don't use that stuff on your person. Keep it around only to make camp repairs and maybe to barter with.

Namaste'
