Do you know of anyone that has walked to Burning Man?

From a really long way away? Google maps says I can walk from Carbondale, Illinois, to Black Rock City, in 27 days.

If you can manage 30 miles a day you'll be late by a couple of weeks.
It's going to be alright.

And, better be pulling a wagon...to haul your gear.

Is this desperation, or I wanna try it?

Thousands of Mormons made the journey to Utah wjth all their stuff on handcarts. If you leave Illinois two months ago you should make it to Burning Man.

That would be my ancestors. In a weird coincidence, today is Utah state holiday, Pioneer Day and the re-enactors are out and about in the parades.

Some stretches are brutal. No services, no water, to this day. You can still die on this trail.

There are still portions of the western trails in existence in usable condition. But I'd do more in depth research than google maps.

At least you'd know the emigrant trails part of the conservation area is vaguely appropriate.
