I have to say good for cooler temps for now. Maybe it'll slow down the rabbitbrush urge to reproduce.
It usually does'nt bother me til around mid to late September but this year it's kickin my ass early.

Blah Blah winter like conditions!! I have lived in Northern Nevada for 40 years and the media likes to blow things out of porportion. Its not going to snow over Donner Pass, so don't be worried. Im not a meteorologist but all I can say is that in BRC its going to be fucking hot and windy!!! And the nights are going to be cool just as always. Don't take too much about what the news says and don't freak out. Some people here are anal and get too involved and say what the humidity and air pressure is, and pollen count, and wind direction, and what stars are aligned etc...bottom line is its going to be fucking hot and windy!! maybe we will get a cloud cover.
You forgot, fucking cold too. Especially Monday through Wednesday nights.ron5657 wrote:Blah Blah winter like conditions!! I'm sitting this second on the shores of South Lake Tahoe at a beach house, and am watching the crazy grey clouds build in the mountains build.. I swear it looks like it's going to snow.
..and the WIND. Wow. Huge gusts forming mini wind devils over the lake and huge waves.. I'd say 40 mph gusts easy at times. Huge cool down up here already. Watching the grey clouds blow west to east on their way over to NV.
So, it seems like this thing is speeding up which is a good thing. I'm thinking it will blow through quicker and sooner than expected..

Technically, neither is Mike Alger, but, when they, the media, blows things out of proportion, it gets me OTron5657 wrote:I have lived in Northern Nevada for 40 years and the media likes to blow things out of porportion. This is according to the most recent update from www.weather.com for Gerlach.
Tuesdays high is forcasted to be 83, gradually rising through the week to around 90 on Friday. Lows are forcasted to be in the low to mid 50s from Tuesday on. Close to "average." Today and Monday look like the coolest days.
Still a chance of 1-2 inches of snow 8000 to 9000 ft. Tonights lows (COULD) dip into the 30s in the valleys of Nevada, which would include the Black Rock Desert.
