What I like about the other bars is that this one is left unattended and I can shoot pool all by myself with mystery cocktails made in the dark.

When I shoot pool alone, I use "pool cues." But if you're using "mystery cocktails made in the dark" then I concur, don't do it when people are around. Especially ones that might laugh.

Funny, thats actually how my grandmother taught me how to play pool at an early age, she had me roll the cue ball with my hand to project what ball I was hitting into what pocket(yes she made me call them first) so I got the basic idea of bank shooting and geomentry.
Then she stuck the stick in my hand, I knew how to play a mean game of 8 ball by age 6.

We had a pool table with a black light over it in our basement. Lot of fun that. I didn't realize it but I got pretty good.

wow, that brings back memories. My aunt let me play all I wanted unsupervised, without a cue. with a cue, I had to have a grownup with me.

You'd think my mathematician father would have brought me up right. Nowadays, I'd need a special table...

Getting served can take a long time, and there's random outbreaks of violence.

So it depends on how you interprate those statements.
