BRAVO!!Elorrum wrote:I tried cold turkey last last week to see how it would work. It was nasty, so I went back to the drawing board and purchased some lozenges. Had one cigarette a day plus lozenges through the weekend, and then smoked the last one cigarette for the day and last cigarette Tuesday. It's not too bad. I can reduce frequency and strength of the lozenges (first thing in the morning, after a meal) and forsee this finishing up in about three weeks. As long as I'm still turning to the nicotine, I don't feel like I've really quit, but I am progressing and that's what I'm working at.
I was wondering when you'd be taking the plunge, looks like day 5! *applause*
Unsolicited advice;
Drink LOTS of water, deep breathe, don't forget fat cells can release the tar/chemicals months/years later and give you a wierd craving!
Beat cravings to the punch! Don't cave in. Be a ROCK. A stubourn MULE.
(Radical but...I will go to my doctor, take Valium and go to bed for a week, yikes, it worked last time! I lasted a few years, then uh, a few years ago, I had one VERY strange day and I slipped up.....arg!)
