It also seems that Al Jazeera has been muzzled in Egypt;

Reportedly, Muburak told the army to shoot at whatever they felt like shooting;

I was in Egypt during the Achille-Lauro incident. Many of the people were real excitable. There was a Jeep with a mounted .50 in front of the U.S. embassy. All the deaths are going To make it impossible to "backtrack".To a certain extent, these people are being impoverished by market forces, not by corrupt leaders.
Yemen is a real problem area. It has a very high birthrate and little employment. Iran sits on an oil choke-point,,, The straights of Hormuz. Yemen sits on another choke point,,, The Vale of Tears. Should Yemen explode and attack a ship, Lloyds will hike up insurance rates in the gulf and mess things up good.
It appears to me that many of the protesters are out in force because of employment problems. Jordan was not at all repressive when I visited. Now, They're clamoring for the heads of GOV. It's very convenient to blame market / economic problems on GOV.
There is no way out when tens of millions want jobs.
I don't post things because I believe that they are the absolute truth. I post them because I believe that they should be considered.
