We'll I'm against it, for one thing. And, alot of seemingly decent people have put out some blatantly racist shit, since he was elected. what's the difference, really, in "joking" (may or may not be funny/hurtful) about someones race, religion, heritage, parents, wealth, intellect, appearance, etc, etc.
yup, it can certainly be hurtful. but, to me, they're all the same.
and, it's getting "old" when every time someone disagrees, or opines against Obama, people pull the "race card".
it's ok to not like him.
it's ok to tease him.
it's ok to disagree with him.
And, it's not all, (or I'd bet even very much) about his genetics.
He's the prez. it comes with the territory.

More like don't pick on my hero...

don't like all the blatant bullshit myself.
but I think your crying crocodile tears.
All that was needed to make fun of, or condemn bush was to quote him.
I have had black muslims tell me that what I said is offensive, as though that is the whole story.
My response is that the truth is often offensive.
I was quoting Malcolm X word for word, in that case.
I seem to know more about him than they did.
It wasn't an intent to offend though, just part of the discussion.
Some things have to be said.
They have to draw their own conclusions.

But then when people make as many speeches, as politicians do they all slip up at sometime or another.
big deal
Obama, is a great speaker, even he has had a few moments.
Biden is almost as bad as Bush was.

I'm not naive when it comes to politics, but frankly I don't recall ever seeing those pics of Bush before. I think that is saying something just in and of itself. Though what it is saying, I'm not exactly sure.goathead wrote:So it is ok to photo shop a pic of one president as a monkeyUgly Dougly wrote:And this is racist how?

I was adopted but my birth certificate lists my adoptive parents as birth parents. Oops!lonestoner916 wrote:When I was born I was given my mother's maiden name, unbeknownst to my father, who was drinking in a bar somewhere. Shorty afterwards my parents split up. On paper there is NO record of any of my education.

I have no horse in this race,,,, dammit TS,,,, NOT RACISM!!!! sheeesh
Does it not make you wonder how someone who is born "Barack Hussein Obama II" in Hawaii U.S.A. becomes "Barry Soetoro" citizen of Indonesia without any documentation of his mother's divorce from his father, adoption papers to his step father and no change of name documents?
There is more documentation which demonstrates his Indonesian citizenship as Barry Soetoro than his U.S. citizenship. If his school records were released along with his credentials for getting into Columbia and Harvard would that not clear the debate? Why all the secrecy? Is it contrived to merely seed debate? Why are these things sealed from public knowledge? Where are all his writings which supposedly made him stand above the rest while in school? What essays did he write for The Harvard Law Revue? Is that not required to be the Editor?
So many questions without answers,,,, he could be purple for all I care,,,, there are simply many unknowns about the President's past.

yup, he's gotta be hiding something.........the question is:
What?
otherwise, as TnT says, all this stuff would be out on public display....or, at least, not hidden and secreted and locked away.
Who spends that kind of money, to do that?
I'd submit, not a person with nothing to hide.
I'd not even say, it a question of nationality. It may well be something different, or, personally embarrassing?
But, the point is, if there is nothing to hide, then "why hide this stuff"?

I dunno. Just how much privacy does one have to give up to be president? I hated it when "the enforcer" googled my log in and posted my mother's name for everyone to see. It's not that it's a big secret, partly I was pissed that my mother got dragged into it without ever signing up for it. He's got to draw the line somewhere, we employ him, we don't own him, and if we don't understand why he chose that place, that doesn't mean he's hiding something anything other the ordinary bureaucratic detritus that follows all of us.ygmir wrote:But, the point is, if there is nothing to hide, then "why hide this stuff"?

I'm more making the argument, based on others arguments, about other candidates and their pasts.
I seems weird, that he'd go to such lengths to hide whatever it is.
ultimately, it matters not, to me personally.
But, I sort of get a perverse pleasure, watching some defend these actions. Those same folks, have a ton of fun, vetting McCain, Palin, "W", etc, etc..........
I'd just like everyone held to the same standard, whatever that "standard" is.

I don't know about any of you, but my Mamma raised me to fear my "PERMANENT RECORD" and know that whatever I do in life will determine whether I could run for Class President, let alone the Oval Office.
I've had employers look seriously at my CV as well as my Transcripts. I would hope there has been documented vetting for BHO. Why the cloud of mystery?
