Fuck MA, I know, I know. But sometimes I feel that way anyhow.

My Brother is a little forgetful, but only because his wife does not let him get any rest. Both literally and figuratively. H goes to work all day then has to cook dinner when he gets home (after doing the dishes). She talks on the phone all day, throws expensive($500 to $1000 usually) parties for weddings, birthdays funerals, etc., once or sometimes twice a month, for which he has to cook. Leftovers, which would usually be enough to feed the family for 3 or 4 days or more, are always given to the guests so they can have another meal or 2 later. Then about every 6 weeks or so she flies of to Samoa or Hawaii to attend a wedding or funeral or some other damn thing. And every week she goes off to the temple to do gods work. Yeah, fucking right!

So what about the partnership that marriage is supposed to be? What about fucking taking care of your dam family. I guess that ain't gods work is it? My brother really doesn't need to have a clean house and a hot meal when he gets home from work now does he. Ah well... He loves her anyway so what the hell can you do.

Meanwhile he just gets further and further into fucking debt. Whenever she runs out of credit on one credit card she just takes out another one.

He needs the photoelectric type smoke alarm in the kitchen, preferably everywhere.
You can even get them paired together now, with the ionization type.
Best to get them connected to an alarm that alerts the neighbors, and even a central station possibly.
That also alerts everyone in the house.
An alarm only helps if someone knows about it.

I strongly recommend a strobe or flashing light outside.
The faster an alarm is identified, the better.
Lights can be seen from a greater distance than you can hear a siren too.
If you use a bell, instead of a siren, easy to identify, since no one else will.

Fire is more fun when you control it.

It's my life's dream to hike to the bottom, camp by the river, on a full moon night. Sigh...

Fuck, I think my family is trying to kill me.... 4 days ago I went upstairs to make coffee and my brother had put something on the stove and forgot about it. It was just a black sludge in the bottom of the pot and probably would have caught fire in another few minutes if I had not gone up to the kitchen. Today I go up to make coffee and the whole upstairs has a foggy haze of smoke in it. There was a big pot with some pork shanks in it, the kind that have a 3/4 inch layer of fat on them, and it is spewing smoke. The burner was turned up all the way and the lid was askew, smoke was pouring out of it. So I took it out side and turned off the stove. When I looked in it a few minutes later the grease was still boiling hard. There was a 2 inch layer of boiling grease in it and the meat was starting to turn black.

If I would have just turned on the computer when I got up, as is my usual habit, I would have been in another house fire.

Fuck.

Alas, 45 minutes of making welds to seal the drivetrain yesterday may just do it. I got up today feeling like shit. Totally a "zinc fever" kind of thing what with the vaguely feverish feeling, out of breath, maybe a bit of fluid in the old lungs (but not bad enough that I couldn't run this morning nor stop me from biking in the evening ... albeit much more lethargically.) I'm sure the burning paint didn't do me any favors either.

The remaining welding is getting done with the respirator mask — even if it's all outside anyway.

Yeah. Everything is running later than I thought, but design first, build later means everything gets done suddenly all at once rather than incrementally. I might have to forgo paint, and the lights/electronics might get pushed to the week between when I ship the big parts and when I have to leave myself. Yikes.

By the way, the icky feeling passed, so I'm relieved by that. My liver is like, "what the fuck was that, dude? This is worse than booze" but at least it has some spare cells to kill off.

Fuck El. I'm sorry that happened. Was your mom diagnosed with Vascular Dementia. Mu mom was like that. She threatened to kill me, then came at me with knives in both hands. Rage is common with this type of dementia. My mom's on meds for that and doing good. She has here days of "bitching", bit hasn't gone after anyone. Maybe have your mom re-evaluated. I know how you're feeling and my heart is with you.

So don't feel bad for that caregiver. Your poor Mom is altered and it is our job to make her life better. NOT HER FAULT!!!

But oh hey I came in here to let off a FUCK of my own, shit, my brother is way sicker again, in fact he literally busted a gut... He hit the skids last night in ICU so they rushed him off to surgery AGAIN this morning, opened him up and found a puddle, yuk, and a hole in his small bowel. Six fucking hours of surgery later he is back in ICU "critical but stable," fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck...............

Oh and yeah my demented mother is alone in her house again and it's my turn to go visit!!! Hoping to get some fucking Burn prep done while I'm at her house if my dear husband can keep her off my neck...
