'Like the old men, Cody was something of an outcast, a misfit, a dog of cosmopolitan interests in a region where rawboned, importunate, pointers held sway. A great many things besides the local canine competition troubled Cody. Albert believed he had strong evangelical leanings. "Cody's got plenty of abiding concerns," he said. "The old dog moves in peculiar ways. Fact is, Cody's about the only dog in these hills that I know of that is involved in an active crusade to save the world, or at least his part of it." As I soon learned, Cody's homespun plan was delightfully uncomplicated, based on the simple notion of denial. Whatever bothered him, from baseballs to skunks, he simply ignored. When ignoring something didn't work, which was often the case, he tried sleeping. If this too failed to bring him peace, he gave way to chasing, a strategy that rarely failed and helped to keep his world and ours in a precarious yet pleasant state of equilibrium and unpretentious harmony.'

Perhaps this is the answer to the koan, "What is the sound of one hand bitch-slapping?"

If you know its going to cause embarassing questions and mirth in the emergency room, don't stuff it in your ass in the first place.

I can see it now ... gurney comes in with patient on his side but covered with a sheet. Nurse goes ... "what's that noise?" and turns to the patient ... then says "Oh, no ... not ANOTHER one!"

Since I've been outed, I'm going to have to disagree with this one, wholeheartedly.

Francesca Francesca - I still have bizarre fantasies about you. (What can you say about a woman who tells you she's been institutionalized four times and "it felt very loving there." Sex was an experiment I couldn't resist.)

how sad that such a potentially insightful thread as this one would so quickly devolve, alas, I am guilty too.

Always be polite to the police; they are
  • more numerous than you
in a fouler mood than you
    bigger than you
    better armed than you
better in violent situations than you

When giving a spanking, it's usually better to start slowly and then build the intensity.

Way too much lube is often just barely enough.
