Wingeing is a portmanteau word combining cringing and whining?Rian Jackson wrote:at least some of us can call it what it is.Sensei wrote:

I prefer the spelling 'whinging' - preserves the silent 'h' of 'whining'theCryptofishist wrote:Wingeing is a portmanteau word combining cringing and whining?Rian Jackson wrote:at least some of us can call it what it is.Sensei wrote:

My best guess. I still can't account for the extra "e". The pervasive influance of Indeliblesaurus rex, perhaps.
hmmmm. I heard it first from an older English woman and the 'hinge' rhyme is a perfect match for the way she said it. The also used the word 'boring' in the most marvellous way, e.g. someone who was so irritating that you'd prefer to have a hole bored in your head to dealing with him.Rian Jackson wrote:i never got a spelling.
it would rhyme with 'hinge' though.
i picked it up from my Australian ex..... but never asked him to spell it.
What part of England? Salisbury? You know, where "Stonehinge" is?buckethead alien wrote:hmmmm. I heard it first from an older English woman and the 'hinge' rhyme is a perfect match for the way she said it.Rian Jackson wrote:i never got a spelling.

Sussex. But actually she was an upper-crust U.S. citizen who married an English lord or something as a relatively young woman and never looked back. I knew her only as a wonderful, ancient matriarch with plenty to say. Of cigarettes and marijuana, she said she preferred grass for the way it smelled. Never smoked either.theCryptofishist wrote:What part of England? Salisbury? You know, where "Stonehinge" is?buckethead alien wrote:hmmmm. Um, Kristy asked me to give you a message for her: Take a number.helitack wrote:Hmmmm.....with a name like yours Kristy, and I do love sweet Kreamy things, and I sometimes help with hot wild burning things. Hell I've crawled across deserts similar to the Sahara, just to bring someone a simple pint of Ben and Jerry's Pistachio Pistachio. I could be game and I am fearless.
Maybe see you next year at my new theme camp. Kamp Apockolipptika. Talk to you later, maybe? helitack

If anyone wants to be my message boy they have to pass a test first.
1. are you humble
2. will you follow orders, no questions asked (trust is key not blind faith)
3. can you accept ANYONE to share kindness with
4. can you reject all fear, guilt, anger and unhappiness
5. will you share all possitive ideas, perception and plans you have
Put in laymens terms, can you be a friend.
