I would think that if you can attach that slide in bead to a tarp securely enough that would work fine. Just dont forget to use poles tall enough that the tarp doesnt drag on your door when you open it.
Oldguy wrote:The wear point is the seam edge against the rail. Flexing due to wind, fabric shrinkage, and alkaline dust wear will eventually cause tears in fabric. Replacing the plastic rod in end pocket with a metal rod will decrease flexing if fit is tight. If using inexpensive tarps with grommets, you might be able to fashion together anchor points with eyebolts and rods... just a random thought.
