Seeing as I've probably only read pages 1-5 and 25-30 of this thread I don't know what I should (or shouldn't) bring. Is there a list or is it not quite that formal?
Here is what you should bring: whatever you want. People do nice things, for the MnG. Me, I fly in and have no room to bring say, homemade pimento cheese or handmade gifts for everybody. If you start to feel bad about not being able to contribute "stuff," remember there's other stuff like cleaning up! The gift of demooping can be just as valuable as a bottle of almond champagne (note: I said *almost*).
Here is what you should wear: whatever you want. Me, I like to dress up because I like to dress up. And I know I won't be going anywhere for a few hours, so I can wear something I wouldn't normally wear (this year's theme, key party glamour). Other people just do shorts and t-shirts. Nobody cares, as long as you're happy!
From one excruciatingly shy person to another, be sure to come to the MnG. It's about the best time you might have at Burning Man.
