yay, it's Bin!!! *offers cheeks*
glad to see ya droppin in Pal!!
ha Delle: I'd never be sorry you were at a Hof party.
ok, so just back from 4 hours at the E.R.:
my daughter reported blurred vision this morning, so, I told her to call the doc.
Doc didn't call back by noon, so, she called again...foogin nurse says "she'll get the message, when she gets it".........(IMHO, non valid response), so I told her to call back. Doc then calls back and say to go to the E.R. (3 pm by then). I meet her and her friend at the E.R. and note one pupil fixed and dilated!!
I freak.
the intake nurse at the E.R. says "ok, thanks, there are lots of people ahead of you , go take a seat".
I state, clearly and as politely as possible:
"did you notice, her uneven pupils, and that she states she's losing sight/vision progressively through the day, and even in the last 10 mins?
do you understand, the can mean brain or nerve damage?" The nurse responds: "no, I didn't notice the eyes, but please sir wait"
I say:" Please, mam, understand, if this is getting worse, and it is, and if it's a brain or nerve thing I'm kicking someones ass, in a figurative sense"......
she gave me the "fuck you " look, and then looked away.
but, 2 mins later, and orderly came out, looked at her eyes and took her right back!!!!!!
SHIT!! Poor dad here is freaking out, his kid might be having a stroke or whatever, and they say "take a number"? ........really? no, really?
Yes, I understand triage......I also understand stroke and such, and dangers related to time.
I'm just glad I was there, to force the issue.
so, they did a CAT scan with contrast, and said it seems no stroke, bleed, or clot........."whew"......so now, they don't know what's wrong, though.
and of course, no opthamologist available. So, they sent her home, and to go see the Opthamologist, tomorrow morning.
Yes, I need to drink, again.........
*waves to BVB, hoping for a double*
